Registers of Scotland

CLIENT: Parallel 56/Registers of Scotland

Working as an associate with Glasgow e-commerce consultancy Parallel56 I created a high level architecture for a website revision as part of a marketing and technology strategy for the Registers of Scotland the Scottish Executive's property registry. As well as client interviews and workshops we interviewed key users and looked at new relationships and patterns in the data available to users and commercial competition

The user analysis led us to reccomend distinct channels for very different user groups, citizens, and the professionals, mainly solicitors. We further identified differences iwhere large firms needed a different level of service. Methods of payment and integration with existing Register's software was also examined. Though we advised separate approaches for different groups we advised rationalising much of the rest of the content into simple categories.

Though not involved in the design or development of the new website our reccomendations were followed quite closely.
